Good things come in small stacks. A compact steel stacker, minimalist in form but entirely practical for keeping logs close at hand. With a recessed base that lifts it just clear of the floor so it appears to float. The Fireside Stack is designed to be kept close to the fire, storing enough wood to keep you going for a couple of nights worth of fires. Finished in Blackened Steel for indoor use or Corten Steel (which will develop a rusty patina) for outdoor use.

FAQ

How are the Stackers delivered

For our large stackers we use a specialist Mainfreight service to ship nationwide. The stacker will be strapped to a pallet and delivered via a tail gate truck. Every delivery is handled by a 2-person crew to ensure your stacker can be safely moved to your spot of choice without putting the burden on you. 

The small fireside stacker is boxed and shipped via NZ Post.

In-stock orders are shipped within 1-2 business days and shipping times are between 3-7 days dependent on location.

Do we do custom sized stackers?

Absolutely! If you have a certain size or shape in mind we can make a custom stacker for you. Lead time for these are 2-3 weeks. Please email orders@sainteloi.co.nz with your specifications and we will get back to you.
Corten Steel vs Blackened Steel, which one is better for me?

When exposed to the elements Corten Steel will develop a natural rusty paint over time which naturally seals the steel and keeps corrosion to a minimum. Its highly durable and requires no maintenance or further treatments. Its an earthy rustic looks that blends naturally with outdoor landscapes. It can be used indoors or outdoors.

Blackened Steel on the other hand is steel that has been heat treated so that it develops rich black and blue tones which are then sealed with a wax to protect it. Its best suited to indoor life as the steel will still rust over time and require re-waxing.
How do I install my stacker?

For safety reasons the large wall mounted stackers must be mounted against a wall using the 4 fixing points. Due to the size and weight we recommend that this is done by a registered builder.

Made in fire and finished by hand the slow way, not the mass produced way.

Care & Maintenance

Corten Steel requires no maintenance and will start to develop a natural rusty patina almost immediately.  A dense, mature, and protective dark orange-brown patina will be fully formed by around 6 months.

Blackened Steel is suitable for indoor use only. It is finished with a wax seal to  prevent rusting that will need to be re-applied periodically. If you notice any small rust spots appearing you can remove these with a scotchbrite and then wipe with a dry rag.

Warranty

Manufacturer’s Limited 1-Year Warranty

This warranty is voluntary and is provided by St.Eloi (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). It applies exclusively to our steel wood stackers purchased directly from our website.

1. Warranty Period
We warrant that your steel wood stacker will be free from structural defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase (the "Warranty Period").

2. Remedies Under This Warranty
If a valid structural flaw or manufacturing defect is identified and reported within the Warranty Period, we will, at our options and discretion, provide one of the following remedies:

  • Repair the affected steel component or frame.
  • Replace the wood stacker with an identical or comparable new unit.
  • Refund the original purchase price of the product.

3. Specific Exclusions
This voluntary warranty covers structural manufacturing faults only. It does not cover:

  • Natural Weathering & Patina: Surface rust, surface oxidation, or the natural development of a rust patina over time 
  • Misuse or Overloading: Structural bending or damage caused by loading the stacker beyond its intended weight capacity or storing items other than firewood.
  • Finish Wear: Scratches, chips, or minor surface imperfections resulting from everyday use or exposure to environmental elements.
  • Improper Assembly: Faults or structural failures caused by incorrect setup or poor installation.
  • Commercial Use: Any unit utilised for commercial, industrial, or high-traffic public business environments, as this product is designed and warrantied strictly for domestic residential use.

Return Policy

Return & Refund Policy
We take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our wood stackers. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.

1. Consumer Guarantees Act (New Zealand)
Our return policy operates alongside your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).

  • Faulty Products: If a wood stacker arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or fails to meet the guarantees of acceptable quality and fitness for purpose under the CGA, you are entitled to a remedy.

2. Change of Mind Returns
Because our wood stackers are bulky, heavy, and often custom-made or finished to order, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for a simple change of mind, incorrect size selection, or change in personal circumstances.We highly recommend carefully measuring your space and checking the dimensions listed on our website before finalizing your purchase.

3. How to Initiate a Return for Faulty Items
If you believe your wood stacker is faulty or was damaged during transit, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your delivery:

  2. Provide a brief description of the issue.
  3. Attach clear photographs of the fault or transit damage.

Once we assess the claim, we will guide you through the next steps for a repair, replacement, or refund.

4. Shipping & Return Costs

  • Faulty Items: If the product is confirmed to be faulty or damaged upon arrival, we will cover all costs associated with returning the item and delivering a replacement.
  • Unauthorised Returns: Please do not send products back to us without prior written confirmation from our team, as we cannot accept liability for items returned without an approved claim.
